Boo Bash Alpharetta 2026: Activities First or 6:30 Awards? |
Choose an October 17 arrival at The Grove around your family’s main interest |

A family can enjoy Boo Bash in Alpharetta without staying for every minute, but the arrival time should match the reason for going. The visitor bureau lists October 17, 2026, from 3–7 p.m., with scarecrow award announcements beginning at 6:30 p.m. An early activity visit and an awards-focused visit are different plans.
Check the dated Awesome Alpharetta event listing for the current schedule. It describes kids’ activities, food, crafts, games and music, with free kids’ activities specifically advertised. Do not turn that wording into a promise that every meal or extra purchase is included.
The celebration takes place at The Grove behind the Alpharetta Community Center. The visitor bureau’s venue page lists 175 Roswell Street and 678-297-6100. Use that destination when coordinating another car instead of sending everyone toward a generic Wills Park search result. Choose activities first or the later announcement |

If your children mainly want games and crafts, plan around the main 3–7 p.m. window. The listing does not publish a separate timetable for each activity, so check the current notice and the on-site arrangement before promising a particular order.
If you want to hear the scarecrow results, use 6:30 p.m. as the announced start. That does not mean arriving at 6:30 gives you the full afternoon of activities. Allow enough time to find the event area and settle in before the announcement you care about.
The listed awards concern the annual scarecrow competition. They should not be described as a costume contest for every attending child. Keep those two ideas separate when discussing the outing with your family, especially if a child expects to enter something after arrival.
Decide how long the visit suits your group. A shorter afternoon can be a complete outing rather than a failed attempt to cover everything. Share the main interest and a return time before people split up to look at different activities. Use the venue name to shape the arrival plan |

The city’s Boo Bash page identifies The Grove in Wills Park. Pair that place name with the community-center address from the visitor bureau. The park’s broader name and the event’s specific location are useful together, particularly for someone unfamiliar with the grounds.
Ask the venue contact about any essential parking, drop-off or access arrangement. The dated event listing does not reserve a space or describe every route from parking to the gathering area. Follow current signs and event-staff directions when you arrive.
Choose costumes and footwear for the outdoor visit you actually plan to make. Keep hands free enough to carry a small bag and help younger children. Check the weather before leaving and adjust layers or the visit length rather than assuming a seasonal event provides indoor shelter.
Pick a recognizable meeting point with your companions. If one household leaves early, agree how the rest will know. Having that conversation at arrival is easier than searching for someone while an announcement is beginning.
Our Wills Park arboretum guide covers a separate tree-focused walk. Save it for another visit or confirm current park access before adding extra time around the event; it is not part of Boo Bash’s activity schedule.
For a quieter outdoor alternative, our Big Creek Greenway first-walk guide offers a different route. Decide whether the day calls for a lively gathering or a short trail outing rather than combining two plans simply because both are in Alpharetta.
Before departure, check the latest dated listing, save the community-center destination and choose your main interest. The awards begin near the end of the advertised event, so a clear arrival decision lets you enjoy the part your family actually wants. |
