Johns Creek Diwali Celebration: Plan Around the 7 PM Light Show |
Use the November 7 event address and check the Boardwalk parking approach |

The Johns Creek Diwali celebration is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 4–8 p.m. at The Boardwalk at Town Center. Free admission makes it an approachable community outing, but deciding when to arrive still matters if the light show is your main reason for coming.
The city’s Diwali event page lists retail vendors, food and performances, with a drone and light show at 7 p.m. It invites the entire community to celebrate the festival of lights. Use the event’s specific schedule rather than assuming the lights begin as soon as the gathering opens.
The published event address is 11362 Lakefield Drive. The Boardwalk venue page places the park behind City Hall and explains the pedestrian connection from the municipal parking area. Save both pages before setting out, especially if different members of your group are driving separately. Choose an arrival plan around the show |

If you want time to browse and eat before 7 p.m., leave room for parking, walking and making choices once you reach the event. The page gives a show time but does not reserve a viewing position or guarantee a particular place for late arrivals.
If you are bringing children, agree on one priority besides the lights. Watching a performance or choosing something to eat may be enough. Keep shopping optional so the evening does not become a hurried effort to complete every stall before the scheduled show.
Treat the gathering as a chance to listen and learn as well as enjoy entertainment. The city frames Diwali around light overcoming darkness and knowledge overcoming ignorance. Let performers and community participants explain their own traditions rather than assuming that one public event represents every household’s observance.
Free attendance does not include food or merchandise. Set a separate purchase budget and ask vendors about ingredients or payment methods when those details matter. The city’s event description does not supply a complete menu or a single payment policy for every stall. Separate venue parking from event guarantees |

The Boardwalk’s general park page identifies public and ADA parking at City Hall, 11360 Lakefield Drive. It describes pedestrian access by the path to the left of the City Hall front entrance. That parking address differs slightly from the event address, so share the intended meeting location clearly.
Those are the venue’s ordinary arrival directions, not a promise that every space will remain available during Diwali. Recheck the event page for any later traffic instructions and follow signs and staff directions on arrival. Contact the city beforehand about an essential access arrangement.
The park includes an elevated trail, pond overlooks, pedestrian plazas and an amphitheater. For this outing, prioritize reaching the event rather than trying to add the full trail route. Keep companions together around busy paths, and choose a recognizable place to regroup if someone goes to a vendor.
Our Autrey Mill guide offers a separate Johns Creek daytime outing with different grounds and indoor hours. Our Peachtree Corners Town Green guide covers another community gathering place. Neither destination supplies this event’s parking or program arrangements.
Before leaving home, check the forecast and select an evening layer you can comfortably carry. Allow time to return to the car after the show without assuming every member of the group will want to stay until 8 p.m.
Plan the 7 p.m. show first, then make the rest flexible. A correct destination, a clear meeting point and a little room for discovery can make the free celebration easier to enjoy. |
