Dunwoody Truck or Treat 2026: Plan a Short School-Night Visit |
Separate dinner, trick-or-treating and ordinary Brook Run parking guidance |

Dunwoody Truck or Treat returns to Brook Run Park on Thursday, October 29, 2026, beginning at 5 p.m. For a family fitting Halloween fun into a school night, the useful plan is a manageable visit with food and a clear departure decision.
The city’s Truck or Treat page describes food trucks, live entertainment and trick-or-treating. Dunwoody Parks and Recreation, Dunwoody Police and the Dunwoody Homeowners Association present the event. The current notice establishes the date and start time, but does not provide a complete timed program.
Use the official Brook Run Park listing for 4770 North Peachtree Road. That is the park destination. Do not navigate to the City Hall address in a website footer or assume a different Brook Run activity’s parking instructions apply to this event. Choose dinner first or treats first |

Decide whether you intend to buy dinner from a food truck or eat before leaving home. That choice affects your arrival time, budget and tolerance for a food line. The event’s promise of food trucks does not establish a particular vendor, menu or a free meal.
Tell the children which activity comes first. A short visit can still include a look at the entertainment and trick-or-treating without needing to cover every part of a busy park. Keep the first plan small enough that changing it does not feel like abandoning the evening.
Choose costumes that work for walking and the actual weather. Carry the everyday items your household needs, and decide how adults will stay together if a child wants to move to the next activity. Agree on a meeting place once you see the layout rather than guessing one from an old event photograph.
The city’s live event page does not state an ending time, a parking map, a vendor roster or detailed admission terms. For an unanswered question that affects your visit, use parks@dunwoodyga.gov. Do not fill those gaps with another year’s social post or a different community’s similarly named event. Keep ordinary park plans separate from event arrangements |

Our Brook Run playground and short-walk guide covers a regular park visit. It can help explain the broader setting, but a familiar playground route does not establish the festival’s operating area or where event traffic will be directed.
The park’s facility page specifically describes baseball parking at Peachtree Charter Middle School. That is not a blanket instruction to use school parking for Truck or Treat. Follow event signs and staff directions, and ask the organizer if you require a particular drop-off or access arrangement.
For a separate daytime stop, our DHA Farmers Market guide describes grocery shopping at Brook Run. The market and this Thursday Halloween event have different purposes and schedules. Do not combine their hours, vendors or parking assumptions.
The Discover Dunwoody Halloween guide also lists Truck or Treat on October 29 beginning at 5 p.m. Its other entries cover different venues and dates. Use the event title and organizer link when sharing the plan with friends so everyone arrives at the same gathering.
Before leaving, recheck the city notice and decide when your own family will head home. You can choose a personal departure target without treating it as the event’s published closing time. If the evening is busier than expected, keep the most important activity and shorten the rest.
One manageable school-night outing is enough. Confirm the date, save the park address and separate a meal purchase from the trick-or-treat plan. Those decisions make it easier to enjoy the event without promising a menu, unlimited treats or a full schedule the organizer has not published. |
